It's Fall Ya'll

  Hello Everyone!!
  Fall has officially arrived in Arizona!  The temperature still gets up in the 80's during the day but it just feels like Fall in the air.  The nights are starting to get cooler and there's been a crisp breeze blowing everyday.
  I took a few pictures while I was out on my walk the other day, the clouds just looked so pretty and I figured I'd better get some last pictures of the corn before it was combined :)

The other day I got to ride with Jaylon to the John Deere dealership to pick up some parts for the combine.  They just built a new dealership in Willcox

At the beginning of this week they had to pause harvest for three days because the rest of the corn wasn't quite dry enough yet.  So Jaylon spent those three days getting started on the disking.

But now they are back into full swing harvest again :)

Its Harvest Time!!

  Hello Everyone!!
  Well its that time of year again, its Harvest Time!  We all always look forward to this exciting time of the year :) Its an exciting time but also a Very busy time!!  Jaylon has been working Very long days combining the corn.  So far they have combined 800 acres of corn, and the farm is a total of 3,400 acres, so they have a little ways to go before they're finished ;o)   so stayed tuned for more pictures of harvest in the coming weeks!

They installed a paddle reel on the combine head before harvest started.  The paddle reel is used when there is corn laying down, but so far they haven't had to use it.  Notice how shiny and clean the combine looks?

Well this is what it looks like after just one day of harvest, very dusty :)

Before harvest started they installed special little cameras on the unloading auger of the combine and the grain buggy's.  So now Jaylon can watch the corn dumping into the grain buggy to fill it correctly, and the grain buggy drivers can watch as he unloads the corn into the semi.

Its so dusty its hard to see out the window...

There's a window behind the seats so you can see the corn filling up in the combine :)

They are running two combines this year....its neat to see the second one combining right beside of you :)
