Thanksgiving Day!!

  Hello Everyone!!
We had a very wonderful Thanksgiving this year with our family!!

My sister-in-laws did a very good job setting the Thanksgiving table :)

Yummy Thanksgiving food!

Me and little Kyle on Thanksgiving day...
I'm very thankful for my wonderful little family :)

Its a Strite family Thanksgiving tradition to shoot skeet on Thanksgiving day :) Everyone had alot of fun.  We shot 600 shotgun shells, and threw 450 clay pigeons....

------------------------------------------

Remember the giant tumbleweeds that were stuck on my fence from the last blog post?  Well my sweet hubby hauled the prickly tumbleweeds away for me so I didn't have too :)
All you have to do is pull them out to an open area and let them go, and they just keep on rolling..

Yesterday I was out gathering pine cones for Christmas decorating and I literally Almost stepped on this gopher snake, I just about had a heart attack haha.  Of course there was a nice pine cone right beside of him, so since he had his head down a hole, I grabbed the pine cone :)

The other day when me and Kyle were outside he stopped in front of the lawnmower and was pointing at it and making tractor sounds, so I let him sit on the seat for a little while and play with the steering wheel.  He had a blast and didn't want to get down :)

This little lizard was happily sunning himself on our sidewalk today....

The past few days have been very windy, so almost all the leaves have blown off of our pecan trees...
Today was the first day it hasn't been windy, so I took Kyle outside to play in the leaves.  He had So much fun!  He was laughing hysterically while running through the leaves :) he started laughing so hard he fell over, it was so cute!

Pecan Thief!

    Hello Everyone!!

Yesterday I saw this coyote munching away on the pecans that have fallen from my pecan trees.  He was a pretty brave coyote to be right beside the house in the middle of the day.  Something I never knew until I moved here, is that Coyotes Love pecans!  Last year we would hear them out under the pecan trees at night, but you don't usually see them this close to the house in the middle of the day.  Well I sneaked back inside the house and got the shotgun, prepared to kill him.  But when I came back outside with the gun somebody drove past in the tractor and scared him off.  Oh well, next time I'll be ready with my shotgun when he comes back....lol
(I apologize for the bad quality pictures)

------------------------------------

Today was a very windy day and there were Lots of tumbleweeds rolling across the fields.  This Giant tumbleweed got caught on my fence.  It's going to be fun to try to drag that thing out of the yard, tumbleweeds are covered in thorns......

A little bit later this second Giant tumbleweed got caught on the other side of the fence..It's as big as the lawnmower....

It finally looks like fall in my yard :) my little maple tree is all orange and red :)

A Peek Into Our Week!

  Hello Everyone!!
Hope you enjoy getting a little peek into what we've been up to the past week!

We have been having some very cold days lately!  The one day about a week ago when we got rain down here in the valley, it snowed up on the mountains!  The mountains don't usually get snow this early in the winter and we don't usually get this cool of weather this early.  But it has started to warm back up the last few days, thankfully :)

-----------------------------

Jaylon, Joshua, Micah, and Justin decided to turn all their deer meat into jerky.  So the other night we all got together and got all the deer meat ground up and ready to turn into jerky.

Cutting all the fat off the meat before grinding it up....

Kyle had fun playing Lego's with his cousins while we were cutting and grinding up the meat :)

 -----------------------------------

Yesterday Me, Jenny, Joshua, Jesse, and Jared butchered 21 chickens!  It was a new experience for me since it was my first time butchering chickens :)

Poor chickens awaiting their fate haha.  We kept the chickens in the bed of the truck until we were ready to butcher them....

Joshua and Jared getting ready to kill the first chicken....

Kyle playing ball while we were butchering.  His new favorite thing is to throw balls and he started saying 'ball'  :)

---------------------------------------

When you drive through Tombstone chances are pretty high that your going to drive past a stagecoach :)
I drove past two stagecoach's when I was driving through Tombstone on my way to town the other day....

Kyle was excited to see these reindeer in front of Walmart...
He loves seeing all the Christmas decorations in the stores, his favorite is snowmen :)

Kyle fell asleep on my back in his carrier while we were grocery shopping....
I just had to snap a picture, he looked so cute.....

Kyle gets excited when Daddy parks the tractor by the house :)

---------------------------------------

Jaylon and Micah have been busy working in the fields.  The other day they decided to both Vertical Till the same field together for a few hours, just for fun :) Its something they've never done before because they always work in separate fields...

They had alot of fun :)

Jaylon has also been busy spreading chicken manure and fertilizer in the fields....

Corn Harvest is Finished!!

  Hello Everyone!!
Harvest 2015 is officially over here on Whitewater Farms.  Thank the Lord everything went well and everyone was kept safe!  They finished up Harvest one week ago, and now the guys are busy disking, spreading, and tilling the fields.

The other week when they were still harvesting they were combining right beside our backyard

It was neat to see them all with their lights on

Kyle really enjoyed riding with his Daddy in the combine :) its so cute, he used Jaylon's lunch box as his little seat.  He liked to watch all the tractors drive past :)

:)

Sunset view from the combine...

------------------------------------------------------

A few weeks ago there was a giant full double rainbow in the sky!  Jaylon took these pictures of the rainbows behind the equipment :)

----------------------------------------------

Jaylon has been busy disking all the fields, now that harvest is over

-------------------------------------------------

Jaylon, Micah, and Joshua went hunting in the Chircuahua Mountains this past weekend.  All three guys were blessed with a deer!

Joshua and Jaylon posing with their bucks :)

Hunting is fun, but carrying your buck all the way back down the mountian is not!

------------------------------------------------

The other week I gathered some bundles of corn stalks from the field and tied them to my porch posts for some fall decor :)

----------------------------------

Kyle is growing so fast!  I can't believe he's already 17 months old....
He was pointing at the tractors in this picture :)

 What a cutie :)

It was so cute the other day he climbed up in his little chair and was just sitting there looking at his book for like 15 minutes :)

--------------------------------------

I like to see the sunset reflect off this Mountain...
