Harvest Party!

  Hello Everyone!!
  Last Friday night we went to our farms annual Harvest Party.  Every fall after harvest is over, Jaylon's boss hosts a Harvest party at a little restaurant called 'Sandies'.  It was alot of fun!  We had really good food, and played lots of fun games!  One of the games was just for the wives, and I won :) We had a really fun evening!!

      Group picture.....These are Jaylon's coworkers and their wives and families, and Jaylons boss and his wife.  Jaylon's coworkers either drive semis or bag corn in the cleaning barn, Jaylon and his boss do all the field work.......Can you spot me, Jaylon and Kyle? ;)

The past week Jaylon has been busy stacking all the fodder bales that he baled.

This past weekend when we were shopping at the C-A-L ranch store, Kyle got to ride this rocking horse.  He loved it!  It was so cute!

I had to add this picture because it was so funny!  His half grin is hilarious :o)

Then of course he had to try out the little camo recliner ;)

Mountian Lion, Bobcat, and a Lynx!

  Hello Everyone!!

  The other day when Jaylon was driving grain cart a Huge mountain lion ran out of the corn field and Jaylon almost hit it with the tractor!  Then a few minutes later a huge bobcat ran out of the field, and then a few more minutes later a lynx ran out of the field!!  Jaylon was quite shocked haha and was wondering what was gonna come running out next!  Jaylon didn't get a chance to take a picture of the mountain lion or bobcat, but he did get some pictures of the lynx...

The Lynx walked right up to the tractor and under the grain buggy!  It acted like it was looking for some shade..

I wish I would have been riding in the tractor with Jaylon to see them all.  Its not everyday you see those three animals in just 30 minutes!!  Usually when I'm riding with Jaylon in the tractor all that runs out of the field is wild pigs and coyotes :o)

Jaylon has been busy driving grain buggy the past few days.  They've been harvesting the corn here next to our house, so I've been able to run Jaylon out lunch instead of just packing him one :) and then me and Kyle get to ride in the tractor with him ;)

They finished harvesting the last of the corn beside our house.  Now I can see for miles :)

Last week Jaylon's friend (Tim Amalong) invited Jaylon and Justin to go on a flight with him.  He had put a new engine in this plane and had to put three more flying hours on it. Jaylon was Very excited, he loves planes and flying, and he had flown a plane once before..

Jaylon got to fly the plane for the whole flight!  He had a blast :)

Little Kyle is 5 1/2 months old!  Where does the time go!?  It seems like he was born just yesterday......

He loves rolling around, playing with toys, eating banana, and looking at books :o)  He wants to crawl So bad, but he just hasn't quite got it yet :o)  Kyle Loves his feet.  He loves playing with them or just hanging on to them, and he's been trying to pull them up to his mouth to suck on his toes, but its quite a strech haha.  He's managed to get his foot to his mouth a few times though :o)

Harvest time

  Hello Everyone!!
  Its harvest time here on the farm again!  Jaylon has been busy, working from sun up until after dark driving grain buggy, semi, or baling the corn fodder.

                         This is the new 2014 John Deere tractor that they got

                 Me and Kyle got to ride with Jaylon while he was driving the new tractor yesterday :)

                                                     Kyle was happy to see his daddy :)

           Jaylon's little chevy truck has got a lot of power haha, It had to pull the bean head for the combine

                                                           

        The beans that Jaylon harvested the other week were piled into this shed until they're ready to bag them

Combining Pinto Beans

 Hello Everyone!!

 We grow white corn on all the fields on the farm except for two fields that we grow pinto beans in.  Its nice because I can have as many 50 pd bags of pinto beans as I want :) It takes a longggg time to go through one bag though haha.
 The Pinto beans are ready to be harvested, so today Jaylon got to combine the first field of beans.  Me and Kyle decided to go ride with him for awhile.  Kyle loved riding in the combine :)

Its all glass behind the seats in the combine so you can see the pinto beans filling up in the combine.
